Another Day, Another...

So it looks like Maggie will be at Children's another day, and most
likely the earliest she will be transferred is Tuesday. Maggie showed
some indications that she may have an infection, so they have
scheduled a course of antibiotics proactively to prevent the infection
from growing if it is there.

Of course we are a little disappointed that there isn't a fixed plan
for the transfer. To hear the nurses say Maggie is stable, and then
have the neonatal fellow say she is unstable it's a bit frustrating.
It also sounds like there will be no further duscussion of a transfer
until tomorrow around noon.

Not to say Children's is a bad place, we've loved our primary nurses
here. I just think her spot in the NICU is inconveniently by the door
so it is very loud and bright, which is the exact opposite of Saint E's.

Maggie is doing good. They have her positioned on her side and her
right arm has been moving exponentially better. She is still on the
ventilator, we are hoping for a move back to the CPAP soon.

  1. I'm praying the infection precaution was just that...a precaution. Hope you all are well and get back to St. E's very soon.
