Update Day 62: Two Months

Maggie is 2 Months old today. Pretty exciting stuff. We still have about 7 weeks until she comes home though. Maggie received a vaccination last night and is receiving vaccination # 2 today. I think I have learned the following things in the past 62 days:

1. We have some pretty awesome friends and family. They’ve dropped off food, sent cards, mowed lawns and done more things than we can list here. We are eternally grateful.

2. We are also beholden to the nurses and staff at Saint E’s. They are all special people, not only for the help and assistance they give Maggie and her parents, but because pretty frequently a nurse (with grown kids mind you) will say “I was just in Babies ‘R Us and Maggie just had to have this.” This may be the reason why Maggie has a crown, a tiara, several blankets and a few leis on her isolette.

3. Apparently I am predictable, I was stopped outside the hospital by a nurse coming off shift who has yet to be assigned to Maggie and was informed that, “I was late, and everyone was wondering where I was.” I guess I shouldn’t show up after 7 anymore or the cops will be called. Also my head of security should really think about altering my route so I am not kidnapped.

4. Kiss 108 plays only 20 songs, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Maggie’s first words were “That’s what you get for waking up in Vegas”, they are:

I was going to try and come up with 62 things but well, you know, work got in the way. Also Maggie got her first girl podmate this morning. Should be interesting.
