Maggie had an uneventful evening. They will be doing some blood tests today because she has been pale and her strnegth has been down which means her CRIT level could be low. The tests today will detremine whether she will need another blood transfusion.
Maggie's nurses are getting a big kick out of teasing her dad. If there is something pink anywhere in the hospital they make sure it ends up in, on, or next to Maggie's isolette. I get it, I am stuck for a lifetime of pink things. Today however the night nurse and day nurse where waiting in the 2 recliners by Maggie's isolette joking that they would also be a part of the audience when Maggie was read to this morning, because they had found her a new book, Pinkalicious. As Sue was also on morning duty, she took care of reading that book. For those out there interested in Pinkalicious, it does not promote good eating habits or grammar. And don't worry, Maggie still got in two chapters of To Kill A Mockingbird, Atticus has just finished his closing argument.
Caitlin loves Pinkalicious and Purplicious and Goldilicious. In fact, I'm quite sure that story is on one of the CDs I made for Maggie. : )
ReplyDeleteDoes Maggie know what a chifforobe is? Because I still don't. May Ella Uell or whatever her name is was so intent on asking that man to bust it up!
