Maggie and her Cast..Say Goodbye

Maggie in the car, she fit in with a little twist to get into her seatbelt. And this is an example of one her shirts which we enlarged the arm hole to fit her cast through. Maggie was very particular in wearing "her" shirts, not one of Mom or Dad's shirts.
Maggie figured out how to nap - which still blows me away as her arm just hangs up in the air.
Cast removal!! They started by "sawing" off the top half first.
Then took the purple shell off to then remove the large amount of cotton filling.
Maggie next to the cast of her torso. ;)
The back half of Maggie's cast, nice thick stuffing on a warm summer's day. (With a muddy cuff from a tumble last week).
Maggie meeting with Dr. Waters and seeing if she can touch her nose--she can. Without needing to bend her head to her hand. Amazing! My mom is in the background...crying. And what you also do not see in this pic (aside from me tearing up) is the other 8 students, doctors and PTs in the room to witness this miracle.
Still lots of work and therapy lies ahead to strengthen Maggie's arm - but she is in AWESOME spirits. Thanks to all for your support.
